(NEW FRONTIER NEWS) – A Pennsylvania man was charged with simple assault on a cashier for not following his wishes on not bagging chips and canned goods together.

Bradley A. Bower, 55, is being charged with simple assault after an incident in February at a Giant Food store involving a cashier.

According to an affidavit, Bower attacked the cashier multiple times.

This occurred after Bower had paid for his groceries and was leaving when he asked the cashier, “Do you have a problem with me because I have a problem with you.”

The cashier told police that he jokingly asked: “Do you?”

This was, according to the affidavit, when bower grabbing the cashier by the throat and left dark red spots on the victim’s throat and neck.

Bower claimed that he told the cashier to not bag the chips with his canned goods because it “smashed the chips.”

Bower told police that he knew his actions were wrong but claimed that he was having a bad day, and the chip incident put him over the edge.
